拉曲河流经四川省甘孜州的新龙和道孚两县，为雅砻江一级支流鲜水河的右岸支流，流域面积958km2。本河流具有上缓下陡，流量与水头同时集中在流域下段的特性，造就了其下游道孚县境内一级开发且指标优越的天然条件。本次规划河段长度55.7km，总落差约908m，规划布置一库两级，总装机规模118MW，年发电量5.12亿kw.h。
The Laqu river is located in DaoFu and Xinlong counties of Ganzi, Sichuan Province , one of the major right bank tributaries of Xianshui river which is the main tributary of Yalong river, it has a river basin area of 958 km2. The river characteristics of a flat gradient upstream and steep downstream with the river bed dropping, both of the natural fall and discharge are intensively bigger in the downstream stretches, endows the stretch in Daofu county downstream of the river a large number of waterpower, and the Hydroelectric Project should be developed just in one stage and as cascade developments, which has the favorable conditions and excellent indicators. The planning river length is 55.7 km, natural fall is 908 m. There will be two cascade hydropower stations including one reservoir in main stretch of Laqu River, have a total installed capacity of 118 MW, and an annual energy of 512 GW.h.
